..RAHAD COULTER-STEVENSON BIOGRAPHY: This Rising Star has been working under the radar, developing his craft on the New York acting scene for the past seven years. Coulter-Stevenson’s versatile range has led him to leading roles, both on stage and screen, and propelled him to esteemed recognition and respect from the ‘main stream’ as well as the New York ‘underground.’ It is truly a blessing to discover one’s purpose in life at an early age. Coulter-Stevenson caught the ‘acting bug’ while studying in London in 1999. Upon moving to New York in 2001, Coulter-Stevenson’s first feature production was a leading role in Felice Belle’s Tell the Truth Lying. After selling out 2 of 3 shows, Coulter-Stevenson was immediately offered more theatre work. The next of which was the celebrated debut of Melanie Maria Goodreux’s acclaimed New Orleans murder mystery, Walter, Bullets, and Binoculars. Not long after that, Coulter-Stevenson received his first break as “The Saturday Night Hookup Guy” on MTV, and has rapidly blossomed from there. Since then Coulter-Stevenson has guest starred on various New York based television dramas such as Third Watch and Law & Order: Criminal Intent. He has also graced such prestigious stages as the Manhattan Theatre Club, P.S. 122, and the Nuyorican. In 2004 he wrote and starred in his directorial debut, Look Right, which received a nomination for “Best Short Film” at the 2nd Independent Black Film Festival. Rahad Coulter-Stevenson has been likened to a chameleon in the way he adapts, both physically and psychologically, to whatever the role demands. It is this genuine versatility and emotional honesty that makes Coulter-Stevenson such a compelling marvel to watch, whether up on stage or on the big screen. His most recent work includes two New York based, independent feature films: What Matters Most, directed by Jayson Simba, and Creating Karma directed by Jill Wisoff. Creating Karma recently premiered at the TOMI FILM FESTIVAL in New Orleans and will premiere at the PORTOBELLO FILM FESTIVAL in London this August.
