R.I.P. Marcus Cassel......

Brianni Davis is a self-proclaimed newcomer to the spoken word scene. Although she started writing poetry during her freshman year in high school, she didn't perform until her first year of college at UCLA, making herself known at various events on campus. She has performed at spoken word events for student organizations at UCLA, UC Berkeley and San Jose State, at the world-renown Poetry Lounge in Los Angeles, performed weekly at the well-known Jahva House in Oakland from 2002-2004, and now performs weekly at Mouth Off Wednesdays at the Air Lounge in Oakland. Ms. Davis is currently working on cultivating her craft, learning from those who have come before her and striving constantly to reach her personal best. A UC Berkely graduate in 2005, she is now applying to graduate school to pursue her Masters Degree in Counseling and hopes to continue to use spoken word as a method of reaching the hearts of those around her.
