About Me

www.PlanetKor.com
My name is Csaba.
Pronounced [Chu-ba]
Yes, it's Hungarian for Csaba. :) But since noone in the USA seems to be able to pronounce it right I'd rather go with my nickname Kor.
It was given to me by my Krav Maga buddies when they saw how over-the-top and "hardKOR" I can get when it comes to work!
;D
I am 35, born and raised in Hungary, am a classically trained musical actor, used to host then later direct/produce television shows on all the 6 Hungarian television channels :)
In 1998 came over to the USA to see and do more TV!
In my 13 years in television I hosted, directed, produced or edited over 3,000 hours of live broadcast and over 1,500 hours of pre-recorded stuff like shows, commercials, infomercials and reference videos.
But as a musician at heart my real love remained directing music videos.
I shot/directed several both in Europe and the USA.
I first listened to music in my Mom's womb at the age of minus 4 month, 5 months after my conception.
My Dad kept playing Mussorgsky, Bach, Vivaldi, Tchaikovsky, Mozart, Verdi to my Mom believing that I hear it inside her and it would predetermine me to be the next Kobayashi Kenichiro.
My Mom hates classical music since then and look at me: I ended up in the music business with a steel heart of a rocker!
:)
I have great storytelling skills, good sense of both absurd and regular humor, understand and like all sorts of music and have many styles under my fingertips.
I usually edit my own stuff and if I don't do it then my very talented best buddy Gadi does it.
(He's actually pretty damn good!!)
I am the founder and owner of the succesful production companies Planetkor and Korporate America.
I am a Krav Maga enthusiast and I love living healthy!
I also play the guitar, the piano, the drums and a little bit of kazoo. :D

My Interests

Music, video, music video!
And of course beautiful and smart women! :)

I'd like to meet:

Musicians, bands with interesting concepts, creative people who are not afraid of unusual ideas and look at their work as their passionate hobby!

Music:

There's only two types of music: good music and bad music.
I only listen to the good one. :)
I like listening to everything new and if I like it I will listen to it again!
I love music with energy and brains! I like music that inspires me!
Like Beethoven and Slipknot!

Movies:

Besides 'The Secret' I stick with the timeless classics of Scorsese like The Godfather, Raging Bull, Taxi Driver, The Last Temptation of Christ or Goodfellas. Can you say Scorsese? :D

Television:

CSI, Eureka!, South Park, Extreme Engineering in HD, but nothing beats the "old skool" television series from the 70's like Columbo or the Streets Of San Francisco. :)

Books:

Imre Madach: Tragedy Of Man, Patrick Suskind: Perfume, mostly all Robert Merle, Jules Verne, Shakespeare comedies, some of his dramas too.

Heroes:

Selfmade people - unsung heroes - heartbreak survivors - self destructive artists - smart chicks - my Mom and Dad.
Oh, and I almost forgot those for whom I actually should thank what I became: Mussorgsky, Bach, Vivaldi, Tchaikovsky, Mozart, Verdi :)..
