MORNING GLORY!!!

Being married to the most understanding man in existence for seventeen years has given me two beautiful daughters and a life that I never dreamed I deserved. I am a full time stay at home Mom that also works four months out of the year for my friend Ron, the CPA.

I collect old postcards, and have several beautiful Edwardian actress postcards. I love books, especially old books, I love the way they smell, the way they feel. Holding an old book or postcard in my hand makes me feel like there is a connection, a bond to whomever held it before. Taking photographs and photo editing are also a passion I have.

I have a very broad taste in music, but down deep in my heart lie the melodies of the early 1900's through the 1940's. For my listening pleasure, a Marion Harris 78 is on my crank phonograph, The Boswell Sisters, Blossom Dearie, Ruth Etting, Annette Hanshaw & Sophie Tucker reside in the carousel of my home cd player, and The Andrews Sisters are on my electric record player! I usually pop the Boswell's into my Blazer stereo, but occassionaly you'll find The Police, The Cars or Harry Connick jr! LOL!!

I love to sing, sing, sing! My solo performances are very eclectic. With hubby on the acoustic guitar or piano it ranges from the early 1900's to the 1970's. For Tre Søstre, we love the tight harmonies of the Boswell Sisters and old pop sound of the Andrews Sisters. We have successfully taken different music from the twenties, thirties and forties, as well as popular songs of today, and sounded out some great three part harmony! It is such a great joy to sing with my trio.

I am the 2007 president of the McCook Arts Council.

I am a THEATRE JUNKIE and my girls appear to be following in my footsteps!! Most recently I was "Maria" in "The Sound of Music" in the spring of 2006 and was proud to have the role of "Chelsea" in "On Golden Pond" in the fall of 2006.
