About Me

I work in the entertainment industry. I am a character actor and a professional special effects makeup artist. Check out the myspace Company profile, "Creatures By Knight Studios" to see photos and trailers from the films I have worked on.I enjoy music, especially playing guitar and writing songs. Although it has been a while since I have really done anything with my music I am recently finding ways to apply the music to my acting. Not long ago I was cast in a film about the 1980's glam/metal scene. Now I find myself having to learn to play all over again. I think it has ignighted a spark. I am looking forward to one day writing new music and recording it.Recently I have been getting very involved with my writing. I have now written three complete scripts. One is for a puppet show I am self producing, the other two are in the horror genre. Pizza Face is my first script to be registered with the Writer's Guild of America West. I have it posted on a site called inktip.com - I plan on creating a site in the near future where I can post my scripts for viewing.I am also writing series of short horror stories. I plan to combine them to create a horror anthology. I have four completed short stories already under my belt and a dozen story synopsis to hash out. I am really enjoying the break from FX work. Writing is yet another means of releasing my creative energies. It keeps me in balance artistically.

Books:

I rarely have time to read books, mostly just magazines and the internet. My favorite writer is Edgar Allen Poe.

Heroes:

As far as Super Heroes go, my favorite is the Hulk. I also like the Thing, Wolverine, Batman, Superman, Moon Knight, Spiderman and the Spawn. As for real heroes? I don't know if you'd call them heroes but the one's that have influenced me most in my art are definately people like Jim Henson, Stan Lee, George Lucas, Stephen Spielberg, Dick Smith, Lon Chenney (Jr and Sr), Peter Sellers, Rick Baker, Stan Winston, Tom Savini as well as many others. (in no particular order).I think that the real heroes out there are the brave soldiers fighting in Iraq, and the brave firemen and women in our own neighborhoods that help to keep us all safe. Those are the real heroes!
