I am here for Friends

About Me

I'm 34 years old and work as a hospital switchboard operator/physician answering service. It sucks as much as you think it does

I'm a Cancer (everything fits except the pesky maternal bits) and enjoy reading, music-ok, I enjoy music a LOT-especially the swirly, dreamy, fuzzy variety. I am a sucker for shoegazy goodness..and the occasional midget tossing and rocking out.

I am: quiet- shy- a bleeding-heart liberal Democrat- smart- contradictory- very sensitive- lazy- a pushover- a spaz with a very short attention span- a good friend- a good listener- 95% Portuguese and 5% Irish- impulsive- pro-choice- anti-Bush- an atheist- pro-marijuana legalization- a horror movie fan- a picky eater- stubborn- curious- good at speaking without thinking first- a rabid Red Sox fan- Hepatitis C positive-

See, I had Hepatitis C before Pam Anderson made it cool.

I hate confrontations of any kind. If you yell at me, I'll cry. Serious. It's a rather humiliating trait.

I Started Something I Couldn't Finish could be the name of my autobiography. You know, if I ever wrote one. I used to think The Art Of Falling Apart would have done nicely..but that doesn't really fit what I'm all about anymore.

"We are all in the gutter, but some of us are looking at the stars~Oscar Wilde

"What came first, the music or the misery? People worry about kids playing with guns, or watching violent videos, that some sort of culture of violence will take them over. Nobody worries about kids listening to thousands, literally thousands of songs about heartbreak, rejection, pain, misery and loss. Did I listen to pop music because I was miserable? Or was I miserable because I listened to pop music?"-High Fidelity"
