Band Members: Frédéric and Nicolas Meyer have written and
composed most of Half a Cup of Superkings' songs. It's also them who
try to sing them, while Frédéric is playing the
guitar, and Nicolas the drums.
Thankfully, they haven't been left alone, as they're surrounded by
magnificent musicians: Jacques Hanselmann plays the bass,
Cédric Liardet's ..boards and accordion, Noëlle
Bron plays the flute and Yann Marchesi's on guitar. Now and then, any
band member can change his mood and instrument, so it isn't rare to see
Jacques play the piano, while Cédric's at the cowbell and
Yann on a lovely Glockenspiel.
Right underneath, you'll find a video we made for our song "I Would Do Anything"; a 3D love-story between the Sun and the Moon!

And right here's another video, shot in Summer 2008 by French director Yannick Saillet... The band was joined by the Parisean singer-songwriter So, and as she was here, there's no reason for leaving her out of the video! The song's calledE in the End
And this is Half a Cup of Superkings playing with Mark Berube on "Flowers on the Stones" at the "Caveau du King" in Neuchâtel!

Influences: Our music is influenced by trans-generational popish sounds, starting with The Beatles and their legendary Sir Paul Mc Cartney, and coming to more modern stuff like Belle and Sebastian, Wilco and so on.
Nevertheless, this section is hard to fill in, as our songs are all original, and because music takes such an important part in our lives, that it is hard to tell what influenced who and when... (well, if you think this isn't English, please let us know)
Sounds Like: Belle and Sebastian, Gorky's Zygotic Mynci, Adam Green, Paul Mc Cartney, The Hidden Cameras, Jeff Lynne, Kevin Ayers, John Cunningham, Wilco, Salim Nourallah, and so many others!
Record Label: We'd be proud to put your label's name here :-)
