About Me

Hi, my name is Jefferson. I'm a singer/songwriter and a graphic designer. I also play piano and rhythm guitar. I have also studied tenor sax, mandolin, and other instruments i have not played in many years.
I own and run a dj/karaoke entertainment company ( www.wildcatkaraoke.com www.myspace.com/wildcatentertainment ). Our mission statement is to upgrade karaoke as a performance genre. Everyone who works with me is a professional singer and we all perform as well as motivate other singers. My feeling is that these days there are so many music genres available that there needs to be a venue for singers who are not in a band, just starting out or just want to get up and sing a variety of material they might otherwise not have the chance to perform in public.
I am writing a book on symbology, it's everyday use as a language in a spiritual/self help context. I interpret dreams and I am also planning a book about that. I have been practicing origami as a creative art since age nine. I read the viking runes and the i ching, and i am an avid fan of authors like caroline myss and deepak chopra.
I'm currently renovating my house. Just got the recording studio done and it looks great! Looking forward to doing the rest of my house. It'll be a great space for everyone to get together and jam!
Oh, and i'm also into photography. My best friend and I have a business selling her photography of Italy. We're working on the website for that. I would someday like to put together a collection of my own work. We'll see what happens...
You are the Justice card. Justice preserves the
harmony of the world. Working with opposite
forces, Justice does not seek to criticize or
condemn but rather to accept. The idea behind
the card justice is that opposite forces are
complementary; you could not have good without
evil or light without darkness. Justice's
position is to make sure that if a thing is out
of balance, the weight of its energy is
realigned with its opposite force. This card is
also a card of humour, for it is in pointing
out contrary positions that humour is often
found. The attitude that is found in the
humourous person, being able to shift
perspective and flow with an instinct, is
important in the maintenance of good balance.

My Interests

Music, music, music, photography, working out, photography, (writing a book on) symbology, the i ching, viking runes, origami, , anything related to the sea, music, Buffy & Angel, Dark Shadows, The Avengers (the Diana Rigg and Linda Thorson episodes), eye candy & music. did i mention music?

I'd like to meet:

I would like to meet people interested in networking and making friends. Especially other musicians and artists. Karen Carpenter (next life...). I'd also like to meet just about anyone from Buffy The Vampire Slayer...especially Nicholas Brendon and Joss Whedon. I would love to have coffee (or a soda, i don't drink coffee) with Joss. He's the best thing to happen to the entertainment industry in decades.
I have never considered myself politically inclined but these days it's necessary to be more aware. I would like to meet friends who are in favor of impeaching our current president, vice president and their entire administration. Put them behind bars where they belong, preferably in Guantanemo.
I do not approve friend requests for people who are under age. Nothing personal, but unless I know you personally, I feel it's not appropriate here on MySpace. Oh and just so you know, my friends have a tendency to post pics that are, let's say...entertaining. so here's the obligatory disclaimer...

Music:

wow. way too much to list now. i'll get back to ya. in the meantime...pretty much anything rock, pop, folk, blues, jazz, country, new age, world, classical, yada yada yada...

Movies:

Way too many to list them all, but here's a few i've seen lately...King Kong (both the original and the new remake, the latter was amazing), Serenity, Crash, Frequency, Gods & Monsters, The Fog (the original and the remake), Jack's Back, Godzilla (the 1954 b&w original), the Ghost and Mrs. Muir (the b&w original), Skeleton Key, Swing Shift, Army of Darkness, Midnight In The Garden Of Good And Evil, American Beauty, Master and Commander, Suspect, D.O.A., Poltergeist, Into The Blue, Blade Trinity, The Amityville Horror (the remake with Ryan Reynolds), I tend to watch a lot of horror, mystery, action/adventure (although i'm about as violent as a rutabaga), Survival Island (hilarious because it's soooo cheesy), Kung Pow (Enter the Fist), any of the Basil Rathbone Sherlock Holmes movies, any of the classic black and white horror films like Frankenstein, Dracula, The Invisible Man, etc, (especially the ones directed by James Whale) and lately i've seen a lot more limited release films like Up At The Villa, Ladies in Lavender and Tea With Mousillini.

Television:

Buffy The Vampire Slayer, Angel, Firefly, The Avengers (Diana Rigg, Patrick MacNee, Linda Thorson), The OC, Charmed, Supernatural, Lost, Star Trek, Dark Shadows, Gumby, Ren & Stimpy, Bugs Bunny, Road Runner, Jonny Quest, Astroboy, Gigantor, 8th Man...

Books:

Anything by Caroline Myss, Wayne Dyer, Deepak Chopra, Iyanla VanZant, Gary Zukav. (Watch Oprah much?) Dr. Joy Browne, Dr. Gerry Jampolski, Leo Buscalgia... These authors/teachers have changed my life for the better and continue to do so pretty much every day.

The Complete Sherlock Holmes (a must read for any symbologist), the origami books of John Montroll & Robert Lang, I also collect origami books and paper from around the world.

and of course...the Da Vinci Code. Awesome.
