Counterfit Fifty

With distinctive vocals and cutting edge song writing, Counterfit Fifty demands to be noticed as one of Canada’s stronger up and coming Bands. The members all hailing from the Quinte West area of Ontario, the band has been writing and performing music together since 2004. Counterfit Fifty is ready to add its name to the amazing roster of Canadian artists that have taken the world by storm.

Counterfit Fifty consists of three members;
Brandon Scott - Lead Vocals / Rhythm Guitar
Brent Alvey - Back Vocals / Lead Guitar
Drew Ditmars - Back Vocals / Bass Guitar
In its short career the band has accomplished a lot.Counterfit Fifty has shared the stage with Nazareth, Helix, Stabilo, Mobile, Thornley, & The Tea Party, to name a few.

2006 was a real year of learning for the band says lead vocalist and rhythm guitarist Brandon Scott, "Although we know this is the tip of the ice berg we’re always eager to learn and showcase our explosive style".

The group has a built a large fan base that stretches from Winnipeg to Ottawa, having played at over 300 venues, and selling well over 1000 copies of their self titled EP. They will be looking to expand their fan base this coming year with dates scheduled for early this year already including during Canadian Music Week. Plans for the single “Any Time I Want To” to be released to national radio play lists and a tour to the western provinces in late spring or early summer, the members of Counterfit Fifty are gearing up to take their hard down n dirty style of rock to the Canadian masses.

Recording their debut cd “Break the Day”, at Metal Works studio has given the band a fresh outlook on the talent out there, not to hinder them but only to motivate them and to fuel the fire for them to strive to rank amongst the best bands in Canadian music.

“Break The Day” was released on July 28th 2007 and has sold over a 1000 copies to date, and 2008 isn’t going to slow down.
