Full Name: Alan Darcy Pawlowicz
Alan Pawlowicz is currently pursuing his undergraduate degree in Guitar Performance at the University of Toronto, where he studies with world-renowned guitarist Dr. Jeffrey McFadden (www.jeffreymcfadden.com). Prior to commencing his university studies, Alan attended Cawthra Park Secondary School for the Arts in Mississauga, where he majored in music. This unique high school education provided him with many opportunities to share and create music with others, complimenting his private studies in theory/composition and classical guitar. As a performer, notable achievements include being semi-finalist in the 2009 Columbus State University International Guitar Competition, Finalist in the 2009 Guitare Montreal Competition as well as 2nd prize in the 2007 National Music Festival held in New Brunswick, Canada. Besides an active performing schedule, Alan enjoys teaching, as well as taking part in various collaborations that span many genres of music. He is looking forward to pursuing a Master’s Degree in Performance and hopes to continue performing and composing all kinds of music. Alan expresses himself through a handcrafted classical guitar built in 2008 by Canadian luthier Rene Wilhelmy (www.wilhelmy.com). He is working on an upcoming rock-based project "Good n' Evil" that should have their debut EP out by this summer.
