G.D.

I am here for Friends and Networking

About Me

Well, I (mostly) grew up in Texas and now I live in Oakland, California. I am the Bass player of the Fat Wreck Chords / Honest Don's band Diesel Boy . That was my only job for a while there...until we stopped doing anything in 2002.

I also play Bass in a Punk band called Overdrive A.D. and an alt-Country / Americana band called The Famous .

My Interests

Music, friends, and most of all, my girlfriend, Megu . She runs a really cool website. It's called Inky Girls and it has pictures of naked girls with tattoos...she's cool and I love her very much.

I'd like to meet:

Music:

Punk Rock , Traditional and Alternative Country , Reggae , Jazz

Movies:

Catch 22, True Romance, Napolean Dynamite, Sid & Nancy, Fletch, Caddyshack, Airplane, Sixteen Candles, Henry & June, Reservoir Dogs, Killing Zoe, Angel Heart, Pulp Fiction, Big Fish, Farenheit 911, and many, many others I am sure I'm forgetting at the moment...

Television:

Rots the brain....but, I watch too much of it.

Wow. That explains a lot...

Books:

Anything by...

...as well as anything by Douglas Adams, John Irving, Tom Wolfe, George Orwell, James Baldwin, D.H. Lawrence, Jack Kerouac or Henry Miller.

Heroes:

People who help others at personal expense are heroes. They are usually people who move anonymously through life. Rock stars, sports stars and celebrities are not and should not be considered heroes. They do what they do for self-glorification and money. There is nothing wrong with that, but it does not rise to the level of being a worthy hero. Those that help others in times of need and at a great personal expense are the true heroes. That said, I will let you figure out who the heroes really are.
