I had the love and appreciation of music engraved in my soul at a very young age. My father loved everything about music but couldn't play it himself so he shared his love with his kids. My father passed away when I was still a baby and my older brother took on the role of teaching me to appreciate music and to play guitar.
At the age of 10 I was learning my first chords and soon my first song and I haven't stopped since than.
Life has been a battle of ups and downs and I draw from that experience to write songs that I hope can be understood by all. Music has led me to where I am today and I don't foresee it ever leaving my side.
After years of struggling back and forth with bands, home studios and a failed marriage, I finally found myself on Stage one night with Roger Alan Wade. He encouraged me to sing and nothing has been the same since then. One of his long time friends had me follow him to a local bar to see Roger after I just got done with a long 5 hour band practice. Within 15 minutes of walking in the door I ended up stage playing lead for another guy on Roger's break. After a few songs, Roger came up and announced my name and that I was gonna sing a song and I tried my best as he cheered me on. As I said before, nothing has been the same since and because of that night I have found myself making and writing better music.
Roger has become a great friend and along the way I met and played with Randy Howard who also taught me a few things from his many years in Country Music. Randy is a great man and a greater friend and I am proud to have shared the stage with him several times.
I've met and played with a few others along the way and always come away with new inspiration and a some new musical companions.
Some call it paying your dues......and I still have a few to pay but along the way I hope to share my music with as many people that are willing to listen. Without them there is no reason to do it in the first place.
Inspiration comes from all over and in it's own time....it can't be forced. But when it comes it is a beautiful thing and it has been with me a lot these days. Writing songs is what I do and who I am and singing and playing them makes me feel whole.
I hope you enjoy what I have to offer.....
Peace,
