Brewster Brothers

About Me

I edited my profile with Thomas' Myspace Editor V4.4John and Rick Brewster are the guitarists and major songwriters of the legendary Angels, one of Australia’s most successful bands. They produced the band’s classic multi-platinum albums. After three decades, The Angels remain one of this country’s most loved and respected outfits. John and Rick continue to perform with them today. In 1998, The Angels were inducted into the ARIA Hall of Fame by their peers. The brothers are regularly joined onstage by virtuoso harpsman Jim Conway and stand-up bass player extraordinaire - Mister Paul Robert Burton. This line-up performed a four minute version of ‘Blue Blood’ (from the album), on ABC’s Richard Glover’s drive-time program recently. Audience response was overwhelming. The ensemble immediately booked studio time and re-recorded ‘Blue Blood’ as a ‘single’, along with two other songs. It was released at the end of September with a stunning jacket-cover painted by Paul Worstead, of Mambo fame.At the ‘Great Southern Blues & Rockabilly Festival’ held at Narooma over the October long-weekend, ‘Blue Blood’ was the final song played at the Brewsters' packed out performances and received standing ovations.
