This is not your every day gospel singer. Kristle's style is an amazing blend of jazz, r&b, pop, rock, and classical music. With Kristle, you get a soulful message with a universal sound.
As important as singing is to Kristle, songwriting has been another ongoing passion. Writing meaningful lyrics and beautiful melodies is something close to her heart. She has built an extensive catalogue of original songs.
..I love singing for movie soundtracks, television sitcoms and creating vocal arrangements for projects, as well as being a supporting vocalist for other artists, however, I believe that I have something to say..something to give the world, that I can only give as a solo artist......
Kristle, an ordained minister and psalmist, has a message that is uplifting, thought provoking, inspiring and life changing. She has been spreading the word of God for over twenty-five years and has served as a Sunday school teacher, youth mentor, counselor, minister of music, preacher, key-note conference speaker and a life coach.
In her early teens Kristle gave her heart to the Lord while attending worship service at The Star of Bethlehem Church of God in Christ in Washington D.C. It was there at Star of Bethlehem that she developed her deep love for the word of God while studying under pastor Harvey Lewis Sr.
Kristle, an amazing counselor, was the go to girl for counseling when she was not yet a teenager. People often said she was an old soul. She possessed a gift for counseling way beyond her years. Through the years she has continued offering comfort, guidance and support to hurting people. Because she encountered so many people in pain who were in leadership, she developed a weekly support group for Christian women in ministry, as well as, women in the music industry. Although Kristle feels strongly that she is called to help hurting women, she also counsels men and children.
Kristle's songs and sermons are all about hope, deliverance, healing, and a celebration of wholeness. She is devoted to encouraging her listeners to move towards a more intimate relationship with God where they will find everything they need for their lives. This is a woman who knows her purpose and is committed to fulfilling it to the Glory of God.

Influences:

Okay..
Here's the deal about the influences. I grew up in a household where jazz was the preferred music. My mom bought a lot of jazz albums back in the day. When my other siblings were outside playing or somewhere doing their thing I was usually tucked in front of the stereo listening to a stack of albums over and over. I would sing along with all of them. Even the instrumental ones. I listened to Wes Montgomery. Miles Davis, Arthor Prysok, Oscar Peterson, Cannonball and Nat Adderly to name a few. Also my mom loved Brazilian music so I played her Sergio Mendez albums and her Antonio Carlos Jobim albums a lot. There were more but I'm just naming a few. The singers that I was exposed to early on were also jazz singers. Sarah Vaughn, Ella Fitzgerald, Nancy Wilson,Al Jarreau, And then there was Nat King Cole, Doris Day and the most incredible Barbra Streisand. Those artists along with several others from their time were my influences. Now you see why my style is like it is. I didn't get into gospel music until I was 15 years old after I received Jesus Christ as the Lord of my life. By then tho', my jazz musical style was deeply ingrained in my brain so when I started singing and writing songs about my faith and love for God the jazzy sound showed up and is apparently here to stay. Somebody turned me onto Andrae' Crouch's music not long after I got saved.. I was happy to hear the ecclectic style of Sir Andrae' Crouch! The fabulous background vocals! Yummy. I would have never thought back then that I would have ended up traveling the world with him and doing leads on five of his albums. Then I heard the Hawkins music, and James Clevelands. Larnelle Harris and Evie Tornquist. Super talented people. That's my short form story of my influences. Now of course I heard the Supremes and Aretha Franklin , Gladys Knight , Michael Jackson..and a lot of great artists as I got older but by the time I heard them I was already stamped with my jazzy style. It wasn't until much later in life that I decided that I needed a little more grit to my style and that's when I did an Aretha Franklin review!! I knew where to go to get the power and edge that I would need to deliver an up tempo song so I practiced a couple of her meaty riffs and swoops....Thanks Ree-Ree..! I'll probably be updating this post as I remember more of the great artists who influenced me but for now this is it. Thanks for visiting my page. Luv.....
