-Call for artistic donations for Wayward Council-Wayward Council is seeking art donations for a benefit to be held on January 17th in order to help the store raise necessary funds. Please show your support by donating pieces, while at the same time getting your creative works out into the community to an appreciative audience. Prices will range from a mere dollar to a maximum of $50 in order to make the work accessible and affordable to the community. When the store held a similar benefit years ago, everything from paintings, sewn objects, screen prints, photos and ceramics were donated so don’t feel limited by traditional concepts of “fine art.” However, please try to contribute work that would be deemed sellable and that isn’t offensive or literally falling apart. Deadlines for submissions is 8pm, January 13th, 2008, and should be sent or delivered to Wayward Council at 807 W. University Ave, Gainesville, FL. 32601. Please include your name, a suggested donation price (within the range of $1-$50) and contact information with your work.
