Boxcar Books

B-town's only non-profit, cooperative bookstore!

About Me

ABOUT BOXCAR: I am a non-profit, all volunteer and collectively run bookstore and community space that exists to promote reading, self-education, social equality, and social welfare through increased accessibility to literature and workshops- and the promotion of a community to support these projects. I am also home to the Midwest Pages to Prisoners Project, a non-profit group that sends free books to incarcerated folks throughout the United States to promote self-education and and aid in the rehabilitation process.

OTHER RANDOM, LESS SERIOUS INFO ABOUT ME: I am 6 years old, not 20-whatever, but the MySpace gods won't let me a have MySpace account if I say I am 6, even though I am very mature for my age. I have a mascot named Toby who is the cutest dog on the planet. The collective that runs me is FINE, but sometimes they get lost in the sauce and thrown in the jam.
