new visions, new voices

About Me

Please note that Merge Press has experienced some difficulty in accessing messages in the inbox here at MySpace. Please trying sending your message again. Hopefully these technical issues will be resolved shortly.

Merge Press is an independent publisher of fiction and nonfiction. We focus on original perspectives and emerging talents.

Merge Press enables and validates creative chaos. We are committed to providing our partner writers, designers, and photographers with as much artistic freedom in the production of their books as possible.

We provide authors with the business tools and marketing strategies to help develop their craft and build a fan base.

All of our artists keep the copyrights to their work. We generously share net profits.

Come hang out and chat us up at MergePress.com.

My Interests

Creating new horizons. Wandering around to find inspiration. Looking at the world upsidedown. Books. Binding, pages, covers - that sort of thing. Creative types. Artistic types. Business and professional types.

I'd like to meet:

You.

Readers who support unique artist-driven writing. Readers who love books as much as we do. Okay, reading addicts.

Writers, designers, artists, and photographers.

Movies:

The book comes before the movie usually, doesn't it? We like the book better. Always. We also like the movie that made us dizzy with enough energy to drive 2,387 miles into the middle of nowhere - you know that one? That was fun. Other good movies: The Pillow Book, The Book of Pooh, Book of Shadows: Blair Witch 2, Book of Love, Little Black Book, and The Shutka Book of Records. People keep telling us they detect a theme. We don't see it.

Television:

Can you hold your television in bed with you before sleeping or bring it with you on the train? Okay, maybe you can, and if you are *that* into your TV, don't let us stop you.

Heroes:

The ones on the periphery. The ones on the inside who think outside the box. The ones who aren't afraid to follow their vision - or who are afraid and do it anyhow.
