You TRICKED me!! do it again, okay?

About Me

I live in the Blue Ridge Mountains of Western North Carolina with my sweetie and a cowboy of a German Shepherd. I love hanging out with my friends who are incredibly brilliant, sharp, and witty people. Playing Pool. Poker with my pals. I'm a bit of a scotch-aficionado (single malt only, of course), I like dancing in my kitchen. Laughing. My girl, who is an amazingly kind human being. My beautiful sons all grown up and somehow managing without me. I am a political junkie - believe W is something of a war-criminal. Love teaching and adore my students who are actually way smarter than me. Writing, the mistress to everything else in my life. I am a novelist having her most prolific years to date. I anticipate running out of life before I run out of stories. I have two books on the shelves and a third coming out early next year. I believe that there are one of two ways to be in this life and whatever rolls into it - you can embrace or resist, respond or react, choose what feels good or wallow in what feels bad, and at any moment you have the ability to shift your story, because while you can't stop the life from rolling in, you can decide how to be in it.********************************************************* ************************************************************ **********************************************************MY BOOKS:Cat Rising: "Emotional and Endearing...torn between familial ties and personal dreams and desires, the complex passionate characters created by Ms. Chadwick help make for A compassionate and compelling read." - EXP Magazine ************************************************************ "Downright comfy....A gentle tale of lesbian self-discovery...Infused with Uncommon emotional complexity and intengrity." - Q Syndicate Book Marks******************************************************* *****"Sexy and Funny...an unputdownable read." - InsightOutBooks********************************************* ***************"Chadwick's style seems a match for her milieu--informal and unhurried..there is sincerity to the narrative which carries the reader along..." - Lambda Book Report****************************************************** ******Girls With Hammers: A 2005 Lambda Literary Award Nominee and Golden Crown Literary Award Finalist.*************************************************** *********"A sweetly sad and funny tale." - BookList**************************************************** ********"Nothing says lesbian like a girl with a hammer...a story about love, loss, and life lessons." - The Book Nook******************************************************** ****"A recent Lambda Literary Award nominee, Girls with Hammers is a study in overcoming grief and adversity...in an entertaining tale of an imperfect heroine." - EastBay Voice******************************************************* **** Babies, Bikes, and Broads: Release Date January 2008
