About Me

“The Deeper The Sand” is singer songwriter, Kate Bradley's debut album and is due for release in early 2008.
Kate Bradley is being hailed as one of Brisbane, Australia's most promising emerging singer/songwriters. This year, she was named as one of the artist's to watch in 2007, by US magazine "Billboard" that also named Brisbane as a hot spot of musical talent in the world.
Kate Bradley's music shapeshifts across musical styles. Her lyrics are strong, enigmatic and refreshing. Her songs will: sprinkle your popcorn with sweetness, hold your hand, stroke your hair, give you a purpose, smooth out your wrinkles, mend your heart and ultimately rock you.
Her music will comfort you like an old friend and will attack and mark your subconscious forever. By the time you realise you're hooked, you're beyond redemption, and there's no other remedy but to keep listening out for what this talented young lady will do next.
Kate was born to write and perform music. A self-taught guitarist and untrained singer, Kate Bradley has become quickly renowned in her hometown as a very gifted songwriter. Her debut EP, Don't You Choose Me (released independently in 2005 through MGM) is a swirling, dynamic, rhythmic feast which prompted warm critical acclaim and airplay by one of the nation's most popular radio stations, Triple J.
"..Some EPs are mere tasters for an album to follow, but this is the serious business...Bradley's siren vocal performance gliding above as the band surges and swerves in perfect synchronicity. Alexander and All Your Daggers prowls with all the menace of Patti Smith or PJ Harvey at their best, while Strange Deeds is as beguiling musically as its lyric - "Gently kind sir, unfasten me" - is startling. Noel Mengel, The Courier Mail, (Kate Bradley EP a Real Masterpiece) November 7, 2005.
Kate is currently recording her self-funded debut album, "The Deeper The Sand" which will be released in early 2008. It will be a 12-13 track album covering a broad spectrum of rich tunes represting both Kate's solo and band performances.
