Our Mission
The mission of the Austin Public Library is to provide information and services that promote life-long learning, literacy, and love of reading to the public so they can enrich the quality of their lives. We have 22 branches, including the downtown John Henry Faulk Central Library and Austin History Center. Find a location near you!

Music:

The Austin Public Library carries a wide range of music, including classical, pop, country, rock, punk, and jazz. Looking for LPs (records)? Head down to the Central Library on 8th and Guadalupe!

Movies:

We have thousands of movies, documentaries and other films on DVD and VHS to choose from! Stop in or search our catalog!

Television:

The Austin Public Library has a wide selection of television shows on DVD and VHS avaliable for checkout, including The Sopranos, The Simpsons, and Lost.

Books:

Books are our passion. We have a large number of non-fiction, graphic novels, mystery, fantasy and the latest best sellers. We also have e-books and audio books! If we don't have what you are looking for, try our Interlibrary Loan Service!
