About Kemal Yildirim
I'm a British Turk independant filmmaker born in 1977. My passion and drive has always centred around the art of movie-making and has been influenced and inspired by the greatest filmmakers from as young as seven years old.The film era I am most inspired by is 1970's cinema which is reflected in my own style of directing. I have been movie-making since the age of fifteen with my 8mm camera and advanced to 16mm and now the natural progression to HD.The Bloodwolf Legacy is my first feature directorial debut following my filmmaking diploma attained at the New York Film Academy 2004. Since then I have been involved on many productions undertaking various roles. I feel my specialism lies in Directing, Director of Photography and Editing.I have just completed Production on my latest short HD project entitled 'Penance', written and directed & soon to be edited by myself. A down and out detective tries to capture a sadist serial killer whilst trying to battle his inner demons. 'Penance' will feature alongside Jason Impey's 'Tortured' aka 'Sex Slave' in 'Exploitation', a Knight and J.I. production and a grindhouse extravaganza!!As well as working on 'Exploitation' the ball is also rolling on my next directorial project called 'Rose' (working title). This is a social drama short film and the script is currently under development with writer Alex Bakshaev to be filmed in early 2008 so watch this space...
