ASPECT FILM LIMITED
Aspect Film Limited is an independent London-based film and television sales and production agency. We specialize in the sales and prodution of high-quality international films and TV programming.
The company was founded in January 2007 by Hugh Edwards and Aneta Kianekova, and was set up to develop and distribute quality independent feature films and TV programming to a discerning audience worldwide.
Aspect Film launched with 2 completed feature films: Chris Munro’s British crime-caper BACK IN BUSINESS, starring Martin Kemp, Chris Barrie, Joanna Taylor and Brian Blessed, as well as John Aguirre’s US teen comedy THE UTOPIAN SOCIETY, starring Malin Akerman, Austin Nichols and Sam Doumit.
The company has quickly gained an impressive roster of high-profile theatrical titles in development, due for release this year. We are currently producing and co-producing a slate of 14 feature films, with a broad range of budgets, starting from $2.5 million.
Aspect Film has a unique partnership in the United States, which specializes in risk reduction strategies for independent film productions. Through this partnership, we are able to leverage a combination of domestic and international film incentives and tax credits, along with traditional approaches, such as foreign pre-sales, and distribution advances, to achieve maximum risk reduction for each film we produce or co-produce.
At Aspect Film, we aim to provide an outlet for filmmakers with the necessary drive, talent and vision, to showcase their art to the widest audience possible.

HUGH EDWARDS - FOUNDER & MANAGING DIRECTOR
Hugh launched Aspect Film Limited in January 2007 with Aneta Kianekova. He has more than 17 years of international media experience, across a variety of platforms.
His film & TV career began in 1996 at BBC Worldwide, initially as Territory Manager for Africa & South Africa, and then the Benelux territory. With a catalogue of more than 20,000 hours of programming, Hugh was responsible for licensing world renowned titles such as Pride and Prejudice, Only Fools and Horses, Fawlty Towers, Blackadder, Teletubbies, Wildlife on One, Walking with Dinosaurs and Blue Planet.
After a stint with Beyond International, Australia's leading independent television distributor, Hugh joined Eagle Rock Entertainment as Head of Television Sales, and was quickly promoted to Director of International Television for the visual programming unit, Eagle Vision. During his time at Eagle, Hugh invested in and distributed major concerts, factual programming, music documentaries and award shows such as The Up In Smoke Tour, Tina Turner: One Last Time, George Benson: Absolutely Live, Classic Albums and the Brit Awards 2000.
In 2006 Hugh's passion for movies led to him landing the role as Head of Sales & Acquisitions for theatrical sales agent Blue Star Movies. Here, he was responsible for the international sales, acquisitions & marketing of feature films, including Evilenko, starring Malcolm McDowell as well as development titles such as Stand By Love , Frost Flowers and My Favourite Game.
Hugh is currently producing and co-producing a slate of feature films, with a broad range of budgets, starting from $2.5 million.
Hugh is also producing Naked In London, a psychological thriller feature starring Steven Berkoff, Meredith Ostrom, Michael Greco, Jake Maskell and Paul McGann, which will be delivered later this year.
ANETA KIANEKOVA - OPERATIONS DIRECTOR & CO-FOUNDER
Aneta launched Aspect Film Limited with Hugh Edwards in January 2007. She was born and raised in Slovakia, where she gained her Masters in Marketing & Business Relations, as well as a Bachelors Degree in Economics at the University of Economics in Bratislava. Aneta left Slovakia for the U.S. in 2001 and moved to London in 2004.
Her career began in marketing at children's channel Jetix Europe, formerly known as Fox Kids Europe.
In 2005, Aneta joined design agency and online search specialist Spring Digital, where she was quickly promoted to Systems and Client Services Manager. Aneta launched Spring's Pay Per Click division, adding a key new revenue stream to the company.
As Operations Director, Aneta manages all aspects of accounts, traffic, and marketing. In her spare time, Aneta is a keen photographer and new media enthusiast. She is fluent in English, Hungarian, Slovak, Czech and understands Polish, Russian and other Slavic languages.
