There are few music producers today who are able to avoid the industry's branding, categorizations, boundaries and limitations. The J.U.S.T.I.C.E. League is able to effortlessly do so without compromising their work due to the versatility and dynamics of this group. When you hear a J.U.S.T.I.C.E. League production there is an undeniable presence of what producers are suppose to create; "MUSIC". The J.U.S.T.I.C.E. League consist of three diverse and skilled, musical competent young men with the aptitude of students of the trade who's passion is to make music that delivers emotion. Although relatively new to the music industry, the guys have been individually cultivating and perfecting their styles for over 10 years. Now together as the J.U.S.T.I.C.E. League, their reputation and work are setting them onto the path of attaining veteran status while still bringing a breath of fresh air to the industry.
Hailing from Tampa, Florida; Rook, Colione, and Kenny, are three individuals from three different walks of life that came together to try and place their footprints in the sands and to be one day mentioned in the likes of some of today's and yesterdays musical greats. The members of J.U.S.T.I.C.E. League were all soloists who came together to form a group, each bringing with them different elements that in the end result provides a unique and complimenting sound. Colione, the southerner of the group, who loves hard drums, infectious melodies and synth laden beats, gives the group the edge thats needed to compliment the dirty south sound. Rook, originally from the Bronx, NY, brings an east coast arrogance and influence on the group with dusty samples, a classic drum break approach to making music, and a blend of vinyl driven ear popping drums with a meticulous approach to recording vocals. Kenny is the musical tie that binds the group together; being a master of Sax, Keys, and woodwind instruments, his ability to fuse his talents with the classical production style of the J.U.S.T.I.C.E. League, it makes for a clean edged and masterful sound. Their individual strengths serve as a testament to the diversity of the music they create, which ranges from all types of Hip Hop, new and old styles of R&B, to Rock.
In October of 2004 The J.U.S.T.I.C.E. League did the unattainable for a newly formed team of musicians/producers; thanks to the ear of industry veteran and at the time new hire to the company, Chris Hicks, they acquired a lucrative publishing deal with one of the biggest music publishers in the world, Warner Chappell Music Publishing. All of this without having ANY songs on the radio or ANY published works in their catalog at the time. Their sound speaks for itself and once you listen, instantly you will recognize they have a musical gift and given opportunities can deliver great music for all musical fans to enjoy.
J.U.S.T.I.C.E. League has had the opportunity to work with or be part of projects for some of the elite and established artists in the music industry such as Mary J. Blige, Toni Braxton, 112, Jaheim, Young Jeezy, The Game, Juelz Santana, 8Ball & MJG, Ludacris, to name a few. They have also begun working with and on projects for some of today's newcomers and tomorrows stars in the industry: Jody Breeze (Sho'Nuff/Warner Bros.), Shareefa (DTP/Def Jam), Tone Tone (Sho'Nuff/Capitol), Rico Love (US/J Records), J.R.
