Up Incoming Super-producer The Young Beat Makerz is making his stamp imprint on the music scene since the mid-2000‘s. His production has helped create career-defining songs for artists such as Keish-Keish, Beezzle, Young One, the whole Wreckin Crew & among many others. Respected beyond the genres of urban and hip hop music, Tee, whose musical influences is crossing cultural lines, has also been sought by diverse artist whose music similarly knows no boundaries, from pop to r&b. Releasing Mid Summer 2008 is new projects with solo artists (Keish-Keish), Tee Presents The YBMZ (The Young Beat Makerz). This follows his producing of the majority of the tracks.
Born Travis D. Wilbourn in Chicago, Illinois on July 12, 1987, Tee, so named by friends & others, has had many reincarnations--from rapping with “Da Dub”, Tee 1/3 of the hip hop group Wrecking Crew; from membership in BCP as Brown Cat Productions to YBMZ (YoungBeatMakerz), a production ensemble including himself and soon to come others Keish’s buzzing single “I Do It” and debut LP Beauty and The Beast…, produced by Tee, introducing a unique style that defined the new wave of music in the ‘00s--R&B and hip hop mixed with an electric smorgasbord of effects held together by complex syncopated snare beats. At the same time, his partnership is still in the process. Naturally, Keish looked to Tee to also define her as an artist and their work together, tracks such as “Reaction,” propelled Keish to hood stardom and critical acclaim. Tee’s trademark sound has spawned numerous imitators—yet he has always remained the acknowledged originator. Not surprisingly given his talents, he started a partnership with Nez Management even as he delivering another numerous singles for Keish-Keish, including 2008’s The Beauty & The Beast.
Tee’s genre breaking is changing popular music today, and he takes pride in his success at staying ahead of the curve with his originality and experimentation. Confident and charismatic, his goal is still to blow the listener’s mind and make them move to the beat.
