YounG_A (born De’Jea’n Washington on March 2, 1988 in Charlotte, NC, USA), currently known as YounG_A, is an American rapper formerly known as Spider in his early rap. Being the baby out of 3 children as an infant Washington in his family relocated to faverengordan a neighborhood in (Zone 4) Adamsville in Atlanta, Georgia. He eventually moved to West Atlanta’s 4th Ward between late 2002 an early 2003.
YounG has described his childhood as “Fastâ€. Being the baby out of 3 children and spending his time moving around Atlanta YounG_A had learned how to turn a little bit of nothing into something at a young age. With 1 brother and 1 sister, YounG A had to be extremely resourceful with what he was given.
Growing up in the projects with his mother who raised him by herself…with no father around YounG_A turn to the streets of Atlanta as his farther figure, growing up listening to rappers like Tupac, 8ball&MJG, UGK, Camoflauge, T.I., Outkast, etc. Seeing his cousin in the living room rehearsing & pacing the floor before one of there shows at a local club he then knew rapping was something he wanted to do.
When YounG_A turn 16 he went to job corps where he then met DJ Dice (a local DJ at one of the local radio stations in Atlanta) who gave him tracks to record later on he begin doing talent shows opening up for artist like Fieldmobb in Albany, GA.
In late 2006 YounG_A ran into King Jizzile in California with a demo cd and a dream he then introduce him to Rudy Boptail (CEO of Boptail Ent.) a man who gave him an opportunity of a life time to do his music and to walk with him to the top.
In 2007 YounG signed his 1st recording contract to Boptail Entertainment where he begins making some of the best music he ever made.
