OXJAM BURY : it's going to be one awesome set of gigs. We're running 2 events in October as part of Oxfam's month-long music festival & ongoing details will be released here as we go.
THE FIRST EVENT : Sunday 8th October at Siberia Club, The Rock, Bury, Manchester. This is the final date of the Glyder & Fury UK tour which in itself makes it something special but we also have other excellent bands. Here's the full line-up Glyder (Ireland), Fury UK (Manchester), Anti Chamber (Warrington), Collibus (Manchester). Go check these bands out on MySpace & you'll see this will be one hell of a night. Doors open 6.00pm 'til midnight. Drinks promos all night. Admission £3. 18s & over.
THE SECOND EVENT : Sunday 22nd October at St.Bernadette's Social Centre, Selby Avenue, off Manchester Road, Whitefield. M45 8UT. An all-age event where we aim to showcase some of Bury's younger bands & musicians as well as one or two older ones. St.Bernadette's is a nice room & stage set-up. Doors open 6.00pm 'til 11.00pm. Tickets £4
OXJAM : Oxfam's most ambitious music event ever, bringing together musical communities all around the UK. Over 2500 events will be held within the month, each ranging in size and style, but all with the common aim of raising money for those in poverty. Oxjam Bury is really proud to be involved. The first date for your diary is 8th October which will kick-start events in Bury in fine-style. More news to follow very soon!
