See Red

Raw, Hard-Hitting Metal From The UK

About Me

Buy See Red EPSEE REDCombining a timeless sound with a contemporary edge.Formed in early 2004, the band's focus is on writing and performing memorable songs, blending strong melodies with stripped down, battering-ram delivery. The band's combination of relentless heaviness and melodic hooks, combined with Rich's thought provoking lyrics have proven popular on the live circuit, playing well-received support slots with up-and-coming acts such as Panic Cell and 5th Man Down, and also on more eclectic bills alongside Metalcore, Death Metal and Blues outfits.Influences include Black Sabbath, Thin Lizzy, Alice In Chains, AC/DC, Pantera, Metallica, Iron Maiden and UFO. Individual band members' tastes run from Death Metal to Blues, and traces of these elements can also be detected in their overall sound. All four musicians contribute to the songwriting process, their team-focussed approach sharpening arrangements for maximum impact.See Red's live performances appeal to a broad audience, including younger metal fans and older classic rock fans alike. The band is also beginning to receive exposure in Europe, with Turkish magazine Rock Station including one of their songs on a covermount CD, and Germany's Heavy Oder Was? giving the band's Scars Across Your Soul EP a positive review . The band's latest release is the Rise EP, the songs from which have received a very favourable reaction via the band's myspace page (www.myspace.com/seeredmetal) and also in their live performances. The band were also joined by Atomkraft / ex-Venom frontman Tony Dolan (who also starred in the movie "Master & Commander") at a recent concert, and a fan-filmed video clip from this show clocked up over 600 views on YouTube within 4 days of being posted. In the UK, Powerplay magazine recently said "See Red will have a big future", and the band are working hard to ensure that this prediction comes true.
