Sounds Like: "Solidly played thrash metal from self proclaimed LOUD + PISSED UP BOLTON METAL SCUM!
If you like thrash metal then I suggest you check this lot out"
- CYPHERMUSIC, YORKSHIRE
"Displacement have some really catchy music going on.
When they want, they can really turn the wick up and show off their most complex and technical material, that must take a lot of practise to get right considering the speed the band like to play at. Ace!"
- BANNED NETWORK, CHESHIRE
"Displacement exude energy from start to finish, playing around with music that branches accross a number of different styles.
Vocalist Ben made the standing area at the front of the stage his own, stomping around like some sort of heavy metal Godzilla.
The bands set and the reaction of the crowd threatened to wreak havoc, particularly the last song of the night, on which the crowd decided to start a 70-strong mosh pit!"
- NECROSCOPE, HUDDERSFIELD
"Displacement turn the stage into Hell for their performance. This band are very heavy and very loud and extremely popular, they are in your face and certainly take no prisoners.
The audience is immediately transformed into a mosh pit, a frenzy of whiplash hair and pumping arms and it's not clear who is the frontman as each member battles for the spoltlight, giving 110% creating a fueled atmosphere and a good energetic performance."
- ANDREA DAVIES, BOLTON MUSIC SHOWCASE
"Displacement are, as far as I'm concerned, Bolton's hardest working band. Excuse me, PROPER Metal band. They have a maturity to their sound drawing on influences such as Metallica and Iron Maiden, keep an eye out for these guys."
- ADAM FARMER, INAUDIBLE MAGAZINE
"Displacement's live shows are fierce events with every member giving their all. They don’t sit back on a handful of songs as they are constantly pushing themselves with more intricate and complex material, whilst still remaining heavy, thrashy and brutal!
Displacement are at the center of a well respected metal community, they really know how to Rock a town. Most importantly what they have achieved in Bolton has been a major inspiration to us and is partly responsible for the existence of CORRUPTED, for that, we salute them."
- CORRUPTED, BLACKBURN
"The stalwarts of Bolton brutality DISPLACEMENT came up to to pay BOLTONMUSICRADIO.CO.UK a fucking hostile visit - And be-jaaaaaaysus, did they blow away the BMR team!
They belted out a mix of classics and new material - Talk about tight! I've never seen so many grown men (and me, of course!) arguing so much over a pair of earphones while the band tore room 6 apart from the inside"
- BOLTON MUSIC RADIO
"I’ve seen Displacement a number of times live, and thoroughly enjoyed myself in the process. So, I thought it was time I put my money where my mouth was and got hold of a CD - What a decision that was. As soon as I got home I chucked their CD in my CD player and just listened, and it blew me away.
Overall, I think that the passion of this band comes over in abundance in this CD and I think it’s a bargain for 3 quid and would urge anyone to buy one purely on the point of value for money... For the catchy riffs, awesome vocals and instrumental genius which this CD has in spades... That’s what metal should be about. 7/10"

"In the last 12 months, Bolton has seen an influx of very tight metal bands and Displacement have upped the ante staying one step ahead of all who would take their title. There’s commitment and purpose to their playing. Very good set!! 8/10"
