PointBreakz Sessionz started life back in 2003 on Award Winning PointBlank 90.2FM one of London's longest running Pirate FM Dance station's (circa Nov 94) The weekly PB Sessionz on Fri nights grew bigger & bigger with the audience, so over time PointBlank started to schedule more Breakz show's to run with its main long standing policy of House.PointBlank 90.2FM is widely respected throughout the Pirate FM community & this was recently acknowleged with PointBlank being givern the honour of Best Pirate Radio 2007 @ www.londonpirateradio.co.uk The weekly scheduling has now 3 nights a week givern to Breakz shows Wednesday - 10-12pm- Vice Squad Show hosted by Dave Vice & Binners, Friday - 8pm-4am PointBreakz Sessionz hosted by Skin Up Or Shut Up / Dj Andy Mac / Gowan / B-Fly Pete / Sparkie / Dj Chippy / Wax Equestrian / Duke of Hazard / Amber Dawn + guest Dj's all on weekly rotation. Saturday 10-12pm Dj Solitude / Liquid D'n'B Breakz / 12pm-4am Lady Hektik & Dj P - Breakz Mashup
Oct 05 was the launch of Pointbreakz Sessionz monthly club night @ The Jamm, Brixton London. A collective of all the above Dj's who quickly gained a loyal following and quite a bit of intrest from the Breakz community. A master class of Dj's have played for PointBreakz over the past few years Sunz of Mecha, Deekline & Wizard, Atomic Hooligan, Ed209, Anti Science, Ellis Dee, Ivory, Ken Mac, Ctrl-Z & Slyde to name but a few.
June 06 saw the start of PointBreakz live web broadcasting @ London Calling - Earls Crt Exhibition Center, over 2 days broadcasting live from the Intergroove Soundstage. The Breakz Day saw guest acts Rennie Pilgrem, Soul Of Man, Stanton Warriors & Elite Force step up to the decks and all played absolute Blinders!! The Electro Day proved to be just as good with Rui Da Silva, Matt Tolfrey & Mike Monday, all major players from within the Minimal Tech / Electro world and equally playing Blinders!! This was a great experiance for the PointBreakz Crew that has led them to broadcast live many of their partys to date
Jan 07 PointBreakz Sessionz began a new web radio show on the mighty W.w.W.BreaksFM.com ( 5 x Winner Best Radio Breakspoll Awards ) the show goes out weekly on Thursday's 6pm - 8pm gmt hosted by Andy Skin Up / Andy Mac & all other PB residents on bi-weekly rotation. This 1st year on BreaksFM has been a growing success, joining up with a great team of Dj's & gaining new audience's from a wider platform within the Breakz community especially North & South America & many others.May 07 PointBreakz Crew started new bi - monthly club night called Breakz'n'Bitches to show-case the UK's up'n'coming female Breakz dj's. Lady Hektik & Amber Dawn play host alongside such acts like BroadBeats, Mini Da Minx, Whirley,Angel Farringdon & many more to come. August 07 PointBreakz put on its regular Summer OutDoor Free party "Mums Da Word" Great Barn venue, Great Crowd, Great Vibe :)
Cyperworld has been very good to both PointBlank & PointBreakz with regular listeners from around the globe. The IT team behind the PB Crew recieve weekly statistics from host companys stating that over 30 countries regularly log in to the shows and broadcasted club nights ranging from USA to as far a field as Thailand, Australia, Russia & Brazil. The stats also state that the shows have had very high numbers of new unique listeners for many months now & are continually growing and that the PB crew put down in no small way to the huge impact of the Myspace world & all within its community of which PB are in total awe of.
PointBreakz has a few good dates in store thru 08, during the Bank Hoilday season we will be having a couple of All Dayers subject to weather!!! & of course the monthly club nights & weekly radio shows will carry on building as we hope the Breakz scene will....
