MICK SHADE - FIRST CHANCE

About Me

Mick Shade is a singer, songwriter, guitarist and arranger with four decades experience, both in bands and as a solo artist. Seeing The Beatles live in 1964 in Indianapolis at The State Fair Coliseum fused the musical fire in his soul and he has been playing guitar, singing, writing and arranging music ever since. He grew up in central Indiana, moving to Orlando, Florida in 1978, where he really got his live musical performance skills sharpened. Playing in Classic Rock and Country music bands, Mick became adept at all styles of music. Classic Rock, Blues and Pop type Love Songs would remain his forte. In 1999 Mick moved to Nashville, Tennessee, where he started playing Writer's Nights at such venues as The Broken Spoke, The Boardwalk Cafe, The Hall of Fame Lounge at the top of the legendary Music Row and The French Quarter. All his peers said he had a great voice and guitar ability, but was just not country. They stated that if they ever put together an Eric Clapton or Bob Seger type band, Mick would be their first choice for Lead Vocals and Lead Guitar. Mick moved to The Smoky Mountains in East Tennessee for about three years and had a pretty successful run for about two years on the local scene. Mick now performs at Writer's Nights at Douglas Corner, Bluesboro in Murfreesboro,TN. The Hall of Fame Lounge and Bobby's Idle Hour on Music Row on 16th Ave So. as well as The Pond in Franklin, TN.
