There comes a time in every man's life when a journey must be taken, and when a dream must be pursued. For Folk / Rock / Pop writer and artist-Darcy Slade, that time is now. A composer of extraordinary depth and virtue, Slade's broad canvas of musical compositions can be heard throughout his extensive catalog of songs, making it clear that a thoughtful, skilled and heartfelt craftsman is at work. Just a few years beyond my teens, I was playing bass and singing lead with the popular Northern California band "Sunstorm", opening for the likes of the Elvin Bishop Group". The singer / songwriter / musician (Electric Bass, Acoustic and Electric Guitar, Piano & Drums was born and raised in Walnut Creek, CA. With musical influences ranging from Fleetwood Mac, the Eagles, THE WHO, to Karen Carpenter and Jackson Browne and with countless performances under his belt, it's easy to see how Slade's folky pop/rock style developed.
