About Me

Mark had a very prolific few years of writing songs in the early to mid 70s while a part of the Middle Earth Coffee House and was influence by other songwriters there. Then he got married became fat and happy and didn't really write another song until 2006. In the late 90s he started playing open mics, especially the Broadway Beanery until it burned down in 2001. He then lay dormant until 2005 when he discovered the open mic at the Nawlins Grill and met a whole bunch of talented music people who became friends. In November of that year, he went to play there and found that the Nawlins had closed. Luckily, in the Spring of 2006 he learned that most of those people had moved to the open mic at Jessie's Lip Smackin Roadhouse, and he has been playing with his friends there ever since. Hopefully he will record his Getting Back to Normal CD soon, as it is now 30 years in the making.
