Tommy & Bobby’s songs have been covered by hundreds of artists around the world, used in numerous movies and television shows, and used in various TV & radio advertisements; & portions of their music have been sampled by some artists ... e.g. Ginuwine's "What's So Different" & Rev Run's "Take A Tour" … Acclaimed songwriting duo, Tommy Boyce and Bobby Hart, celebrate their 40th anniversary in 2008-2009. One of the most influential teams of popular music in the 60s and 70s, they also created an impressive body of motion picture and television music. The Monkees were considered a revolutionary trend for television and Boyce & Hart played a pivotal role in creating the Monkee sound as composers and producers of their most recognizable hits, including “The Monkee Themeâ€, “Last Train To Clarksvilleâ€, “I’m Not Your Steppin’ Stoneâ€, “Valleri†and “I Wanna Be Freeâ€... Boyce & Hart went on to enjoy a successful career as a performing duo, writing several more Top 10 hits including, “I Wonder What She’s Doing Tonightâ€, “I’ll Blow You A Kiss In The Windâ€, and “Alice Long (You’re Still My Favorite Girlfriend)â€. Together they were featured guests on the 60s TV Talk Shows, “Bewitchedâ€, “I Dream of Jeannie†& “Flying Nun†and were featured in the top Teen Magazines. Additionally, whether as a writing duo or as co-writers with others they have penned some of our favorite classic hits, such as, “Come A Little Bit Closerâ€, “Hurts So Badâ€, “Pretty Little Angel Eyesâ€, “Keep On Singingâ€, “Under The Moon of Loveâ€, and the theme to the daytime soap opera “Days of Our Livesâ€. They campaigned to support Robert Kennedy in his 1968 run for Presidency & spearheaded the campaign which culminated in lowering the voting age to 18 years; inspiring the recording of "Let Us Vote". Partnering with ZsaZsa Gabor they performed for a few weeks in Vegas at the Flamingo Hotel. 1976 they embarked on a world tour with Davy Jones and Micky Dolenz of the Monkees as "the guys who sang 'em and the guys who wrote 'em"... as "Dolenz, Jones, Boyce & Hart" with recordings on Capitol Records. The Live Concert in Japan album is still a favorite today ... "I Remember the Feeling" a fave song with the fans. Tommy & Bobby's last performance together was at their reunion concert in Chicago 1989. They remained the best of friends until Tommy’s untimely death Nov. 23, 1994. Bobby Hart currently lives in Los Angeles with his lovely wife Marianne and continues to work on music projects; he has recently written a book about his musical life. Caroline Boyce, Tommy's widow currently lives in Nashville where she functions as a music publisher; her passion is the indie artists and songwriters, yet her primary goal is to promote the legacy of Boyce & Hart.
