About Me

MediaCrime are veterans of the New York Metro original music scene. Each member bringing their diverse and varied influences to create a sum greater than the whole. With their hearts on their sleeves and a story to tell their unique sound takes the listener on a sonic journey into the stratosphere.Eddie Havoc, on vocals and guitar, blends performing and song writing styles mixing rock, punk, folk and garage/psychedelic influences. His talents have been festering underground for awhile now, from appearances on television ("The Joe Franklin Show" and the cable access show "Biopsy Playhouse") to some of the most well known stages in the New York Metropolitan area.John Mazza, on drums and vocals, has been playing in original bands since he began to play. A devote of the seminal alternative/college radio sound, he goes beyond being merely a "drummer" and is involved in arranging and the bands artwork.Derek Luce, on guitar and vocals, joined in 2008, like Ed Havoc, part of the original underground scene, once arrested in Ireland for smuggling, banned from working in Rugby, finally deported from the UK for unpatriotic behavior, brings a cache of his own material to fuse with the Mediacrime sound.Pete Manolakis joined in Feb 2009, and along with John Mazza, forms a key piece of that raw driving Mediacrime sound. Pete has played bass for a "while". Primarliy in NYC, Long Island and Upstate New York; a "while ago" with such memorable combo's as, Eclipse and Dirty Love.
