Les BOF!

Fancy a good old garagie dutronic-yéyé sound?

About Me

Les BOF! on The GaragePunk Hideout

After years as a musical enemy number one of the town council of Marseilles, Laurent Mombel estimated that his talents were ignored and wrongfully punished. In exile in the United Kingdom, Laurent, put himself about to find the musicians of Garage that were most endowed within their neighbourhoods - unfortunately they all were occupied and thus decided to make do with a few old tearaways met in the wild regions of Scotland - Thus Les BOF! were formed and after that, a series of concerts left them in the not very enviable situation of premier garage rockers of French language in Great Britain.
‘BOF!’ literally translates as ..don’t care!' or ..not interested!' but do not see there a group for which one would not have to be interested, but rather a group universally rejected by the established order - a situation, we are sure, you all know too well and with which you can only sympathize.
Les BOF! play regularly not only in the dull cellars and dusty cafes of Edinburgh and its neighbourhoods but also abroad - try to see them whether they come in your city - or better, invite them to play in your own living room - it will not cost you the eyes teeth – Vive Les BOF!

My Interests

Music:

Band Website: lesbof.fr
Band Members:

LAURENT - Principal Singer - The vocal vandal of origin, expelled out of his own birthplace for crimes against the music. Now rectifying his larynx, within a Scotland released of the influence of the cigarette in the public places, for a great attack on the traditional ones of the Garage and other pop failures of the 60’s.

ANGUS - Guitar and Singer - Guitarist veteran of which the style did not improve of a single iota since he started to play of the years dot. You can also hear his false notes in combos such as The Thanes and Preston Pfanz and the Seaton Sands .

COLIN - Bass and Singer - The big bottom ends are ensured by another old fighter. You can also hear his low rumble on the furious insane pieces of Preston Pfanz and the Seaton Sands .

ALLAN - Drums - Marginally more gifted than the majority of the other primates of the percussion, but hardly more, our primitive drummer comes out of his cave exclusively for Les BOF!

MARIE - Singer - This delightful and sensual young lady has been imported from the island of La Réunion, lost in the middle of the Indian Ocean. A reincarnation of the french ideal feminine of the sixties, she is also the band exotic touch.
Former members: Ali - Drums, Mike - Drums, Mark - Bass

Track: N’oublies - recorded at the Zapata Café in Berlin, 27th of February 2008

Track: Ils vont tuer le R’n’R - recorded at the Bassy Club in Berlin, 26th of February 2008
