I also do photography and one of my favorite subjects is Kansas. Here's a small sample. I took all of these.
Range Burning begins in early spring. It's always hazy for several weeks. They don't burn it everywhere every year. They kind of take turns. A couple of weeks afterwards, the new grass is the most beautiful shade of green you've ever seen. From a distance, can tell where it was burned and where it wasn't, just by the different shades of green. (That 3-story stone barn belongs to the Z-Bar Ranch, which is now known as Spring Hill Ranch National Park Preserve. The horse was near where I had stopped to take pictures of the school house. When he finally looked up from eating, and noticed I was there, he was very eager to say hello. You should've heard him! So, I abliged him, and he insisted that I pet him and take his picture.)
I'd love to be able to see all of my myspace music friends in person.

Classic Rock, R&B, and "some" country (but not a lot of what they play on the radio these days), Emmylou Harris, Willie Nelson, Bruce Springsteen, Steve Earle, Los Lonely Boys, Kansas, Joe Walsh, Folk, Americana, Bluegrass, and almost any kind of live accoustic or good ol' rock and roll. My favorite band who I've purchased CD's from recently is Sonia Dada. And a couple of good bands from Kansas: Roseline and Shaking Tree.
