Orchestrator and Conductor

Allan Wilson has been involved in the music recording industry since 1982, orchestrating and conducting scores mainly for Film & Television. Having studied at the Royal Academy of Music in London he went on to teach conducting and orchestral training at the State University of New York, where he was awarded a Master of Music degree. He has given many lecture recitals in The UK, The USA and Canada, appearing as a trumpet player in leading concert halls and other venues on many occasions.
He has an International reputation as a specialist studio conductor and orchestrator, working regularly for producers and studios from both sides of the Atlantic, Bratislava, Munich, Berlin and Prague. Composers such as Colin Towns, Danny Elfman, Christopher Young, Graeme Revell, Richard Hartley, Jack Lenz, Mark Isham and Basil Poledouris, to name but a few, feature highly in his portfolio of work. Allan has conducted the world's greatest orchestras, such as The London Philharmonia Orchestra.
In recent years, as acoustic music is increasingly being introduced into the games industry, Allan's expertise as advisor, orchestrator, arranger, conductor and music supervisor is being utilised by more and more games composers.
Recent games credits are EAs Harry Potter games; The Chamber of Secrets, Quidditch World Cup and The Prisonor of Azkaban which he conducted for Jeremy Soule and Star Wars Trilogy for Chris Hulsbeck. As orchestrator and conductor he worked with James Hannigan on Republic, Evil Genius and Catwoman; Lionheads Fable for Russell Shaw; Conflict:Vietnam for Jon Vincent and the orchestral sections in WW2: Frontline Commander for Richard Wells and David Punshon.. Allan also collaborated with Richard Jacques on part of the Headhunter score for the 2003 concert in Germany.Allan met Rexford in 1998 and has worked consistently on his music as an orchestrator and conductor.
