Rebecca Naomi Watson was born in Boston, Lincolnshire. She studied at Chetham..s School of Music and the Royal Academy of Music. During her studies at the Academy she went to Italy to compete in the Valentino Bucchi International Singing Competition for 20th Century Music and won second prize. She was subsequently invited to sing the role of Silvia in L..Isola Disabitata, Haydn at the Teatro Naçional de São Carlos Lisbon, Portugal.Rebecca Naomi has been a Recommended Artist for Making Music and the National Federation of Music Societies.
Her most recent performances are Susanna in Mozart's Le Nozze di Figaro, Mimi in Puccini's La Boheme for Opera Brava, Clorinda in Rossini's Cenerentola for Mid Wales Opera, Manon and Pousette in Massenet's Manon, Pamina and Papagena in Mozart's Magic Flute for ETO with other performances including: Giulietta in L'Amore Industrioso, Carvalho for Opera Holland park, Sharharazad in the World Premiere of A Thousand a One Nights by Stephen McNeff, Polissena in Handel's Radamisto.On the concert platform she has recently sung, Vivaldi's Motet Nulla in Mundo Pax Sincera, Orff Carmins Burana, Haydn Creation and The Seasons, Bach Matthew Passion, Schubert Mass in G, Brahms' Ein Deutsches Requiem, Mozart C Minor Mass, Handel Messiah and a solo recital of French song at the Weinbrennersaal in Baden-Baden, Germany for the European Union Opera.
