Born and raised in the small city of Malton; Theory literally grew up freestyling, writing rhymes and battling Mc's. Growing up in a strict, yet loving and very religious house hold heavily influenced young Theorys beliefs and are the inspiration behind most of his "conscious tracks, (most of Theorys fathers side were very involved in the church, running churches and most had positions as preachers and pastors, spanning From the Bronx in America, to several parts of Jamaica and many parts of Europe). This brings us to another of Theorys strengths... his diversity. Theorys ability to express himself over any beat in so many different ways contributes to his seemingly infinite diversity. Switching flows several different times between verses and even stanzas, it often takes most listeners time to truly comprehend what is really taking place. To Theory, Hip Hop still remains very much an art form. Delivering modern day parables and still maintaining a "catchy or pop" appeal is an enormous task. Even for many of Hip Hops pioneers it has been very difficult to maintain a commercial aspect while delivering a strong message. Diversity is just as important to Theory as making sure the content he delivers is real and informational. Amidst the pressures of being successful, being a new face in the market and maintaining artistic integrity, Theory has managed to maintain an amazingly strong sense of humor. One of Theorys goals within the next three albums is to expand Hip Hops themes and concepts and truly journey into new musical space. When it comes to history Theory is immersed in it. In 1987... when he was 7 years old, and Hip Hop was still fresh and new to the world, Theory decided to write a rap for his show and tell. Looking out onto a classroom of wide-eyed children and an elderly elementary teacher Mrs. Potts, Theory new this was his calling, and has never looked back. At the tender age of 14, Theory was signed to an international record label, "Hitz". At the time he was going by the name Youngest In Charge and had yet to find himself in the world of Hip Hop. Under the advisement of his father (due mostly to its interference with school), Theory had to stop recording for the album after recording only the first two singles. Performing at Canadas Wonderland, being interviewed on 680 CFTR at the age of twelve and experiencing a record deal negotiation in his early teens, Theory had a great deal of understanding of the Hip Hop industry going into high school. High school was the place where Freestyle battling would take Theorys rap skills to a whole new level. Morning Star Secondary school was the meeting place for the best rappers from Malton, Scarborough, Flemo Park, Central Toronto, Jane and Finch and the rest of the GTA. This was an amazing experience for Theory and it was also a great opportunity for him to battle with some of the next generation pioneers in Canadian rap. Traveling high schools and colleges all over the G.T.A and writing tracks continuously to the age of Twenty, Theory had reached a commendable level of rap skill. Never the less empty pocketed and drowning in debt, Theory made the decision to escape from the world of rap for a minute to launch his own multimedia company. Starting TDot Magazine with the late Dean Bowden, Nyohhh Models with Tracy Alphonso, and Private Stock Entertainment with his cousin and musical equal "CrazyRidla", he embarked on a new path that would change his life forever. Five years later after many successful events, single releases, fashion shows and working with some of the biggest names in Canadian and international entertainment, Theory has returned to drop his first independent album produced by himself (yeah he produces too!). All of the beats on his album are either produced by himself, himself and CrazyRidla or by J Bridges. His first album promises to deliver a street artistic interpretation of how life is, should be through is eyes and a general explanation and reflection of himself. So be on the look out for this fresh new theoretical genius, and Im sure if you take the time to listen to what he as to say and feel where hes coming from youll see that his gift of music is no THEORY its a FACT.
