From a young age it was clear to see that the Oakville, ON born singer/songwriter was more than just the average girl. At just 2 years old, this young sagittarius would dress up and want her mother to record her singing and dancing for hours. Her spontanaeity, enthusiasm and love for music would follow her through the years. At 18 years old, Candi is finetuning her skills and is ready to hit the music scene.Influenced by groups like Destiny's Child and TLC and artist such as Aaliyah,Celine Dion,Mariah Carey and Nelly (yes Nelly), shes has been able to take a little from each artist and mould it to create her own unique style. With a voice sultry enough for ballads yet bouncy enough to ride on the grimmiest of hiphop beats, Candi has the versatility that many artists crave for. When asked what will make a young artist like herself persevere in a tough industry like this one, she replied, "Its the only thing I love to do and it makes me happy."With her Canadian roots and Chinese Jamaican background Candi hopes to bring a refreshing style and sound to the industry.
