ROBBIN STEEL Blues Band

This is a BLUES BAND not a Charm School field trip

About Me

This is a band made up of five guys who just love the mystique of the BLUES BAND
This basic rhythm section that is Buddy,Keith, John & Rob have been together in various bands for over 25 years.
This past summer they worked up some early Peter Green & Bluesbreaker - BRITISH BLUES- material to trot out. They will gig under the name of Robbin Steel Blues Band adding a serious bluesman, vocalist & harp player Michael Silverman.
They are all intimately familiar with the great early British blues bands. That music was derived from Chicago blues that was never really popular and completely abandoned upon the arrival of the payola inspired gutless thoughtless white pop music of the post war era. Somehow the remnants of the blues culture was revived by the British musicians in the mid-60's and then imported back to the USA where it captured the hearts of young baby boomer suburban kids who wanted to emulate what they heard. They could hear that THIS music was telling them the hard truth: Life is not always a day at the beach.
The Robbin Steel band is simply a current reflection of the hard edged blues being played in the middle & late sixties in England. So- Follow the HARD ROAD
