About Me

As one of the most sought-after guitarists in Nashville for the last 20 years, Mike's resume of masterful guitar work reads like a veritable who's who of upper-echelon, critically acclaimed singer/songwriters and recording artists: Steve Earle (McAdam was one of the original "Dukes"), Radney Foster, Bill Lloyd, Jim Lauderdale, Mary Chapin Carpenter, The Mavericks, Jack Ingram, Matraca Berg, Lee Roy Parnell, Deana Carter, Charlie & Bruce Robison, Jeff Black, Amy Rigby, Greg Trooper, Charlie Major, Kevin Montgomery, Pinmonkey, Chris Knight and countless others have enlisted his talents in the studio and on live dates.

Most recently, McAdam can be found touring and recording with Americana troubadour Chris Knight while doing recording dates with numerous other artists as a producer and instrumentalist. McAdam's solo debut, A Million Miles , showcases not only his now-legendary guitar work, but solid songwriting and vocal performances that have garnered him his own rave reviews as a superb stand-alone artist. Simply an absolute must-have addition to the most discerning music fan's CD collection, copies are available on-line at CDbaby or at one of McAdam's live shows. Hope to see you there soon!

My Interests

Music:

Band Website: michaelmcadam.com
Band Members: Mike sang and played a bunch of the instruments on his solo disc, but when he really wanted it to sound good he enlisted the help of some old friends: Dave Roe, Drake Leonard and Joey Spampinato came by to play bass, Joey brought his lovely wife, Kami Lyle, to play trumpet. Bob Mummert, Michael Organ, Billy Block, Paul Griffith, Sam Bacco, Dan Spomer, David Eggleston and Jack Irwin all found something to bang on at one time or another. Mike Lucas helped out on guitar cause he good. Jack Irwin and Gregg Wetzel played piano, organ and assorted keyboards. Kim Richey, Randy Kohrs and cousin Johnny O'Brien all lent their golden voices. Pat Barber came up with the title for "Stratisfaction," and Jack Irwin helped produce the CD, he engineered and mixed it too.
Influences: Liverpool, Memphis, Nashville, Muscle Shoals, New Orleans, London, NYC, Chicago, LA, Clovis, Detroit, Bakersfield, San Francisco, Asbury Park, Macon, or just about anything that DOESN'T sound like vintage Styx (the band), current country music, new top 40 or old Meatloaf (the singer).
Sounds Like: ... there's no format on Mike's ipod.
