About Me

Beex (pronounced "Beaks") released "Beat Beat" -their first- on D.C.'s Wasp records, but they are a long-running Richmond punk combo. "Butch" is from their second on Zero Degree Records, and there's a third, released as an excellent 1986 12". A fourth, CHRISTINE, their first full length CD was released 7/25/08
BEEX is a verb, an attitude, and a lifestyle.

Watch this video of BUTCH filmed at BENNY'S in '81
Christine Gibson died 12/9/07 Watch this excellent Mark Holmburg produced video of that day aired on CBS News Channel 6 WTVR.
RIP Craig Thompson (original Bass player), you could have read an article here that talks about him and Beex for free if the Richmond Times Dispatch hadn't decided that you have to pay to learn about your history.
BEEX continue to rock RVA in their own indelible fashion
