About Me

..The Dog Show was formed after Jerome O'Brien had worked as a sideman on bass in several different projects on New York's Lower East Side after relocating from Milwaukee, Wisconsin. His recent recording credits on bass include Mi and L'au, self-titled (Young God) Devendra Banhart-Rejoicing In The Hands & "Nino Rojo"(Young God) Angels of Light "The Angels of Light sing: Other People" (Young God), Kid Congo & The Pink Monkey Birds- "Philosophy & Underwear"(New York Night Train) Knoxville Girls (self-titled first EP, In The Red) and Jerry Teel & The Big City Stompers (self-titiled EP, Bang!).Consisting of fellow sidemen & friends, The Dog Show plays over straightforward songs that range from the humorous to the bittersweet. O'Brien's sardonic lyric wit is the recurring factor, shooting from the hip toward hipsters, hooligans and the work-a-day millions.
