Half Ajar

About Me

Formed in 2006 in the back of a toy shop in Brooklyn, New York, Half Ajar grew organically to become the six-piece beat pop combo they are today.

Vocal Wizards, Kate and Beth Thomason hail from Mississippi though they're secretly Texans at heart. Aengus Woods and Eoin J.McGrath come from the Emerald Isle. To round things off, some local flavor was added: Dylan Keeler from Connecticut and Dan Sullivan from Queens brought their musical chops and rants against Calvinist Rectitude to the mix. Dylan and Dan are also the driving force behind Brooklyn's excellent The Disclaimers.

Half Ajar play heavenly songs about hell, country songs about the city and melt hearts at twenty paces. We have tested and tasted too much lover, through a chink too wide, there comes in no wonder.
