The "PROJECT 8" Independent Film Network is the brain child of co-founders, Rico Stowers and L. Storm Gaye. PROJECT 8 was established with the indie film and video director, producer, musician, music video director, actor, writer, casting agent, talent scout and/or agent and enthusiast in mind. There are more people making indie films now than ever before. Hollywood no longer controls the camera. We want to be the face and the voice of those with a creative mind.

We want to introduce new script writers, aspiring actors and actresses, agents, directors, producers. We want to be the one stop source to connect people with people. The channel will be broken up into catagories such as indie music videos, crazy clips, indie film shorts, commercials, etc. No matter what kind of footage or clips you may have, there will be a spot for it on PROJECT 8. Some of these promotional activities include email blasts to your target consumers through our guerilla marketing partners, inclusion of your brand in existing marketing campaigns, donation of MixCast personnel to implement campaigns on MySpace and similar sites, and placing your clips in the “Featured†sections of our homepage.
-PROJECT 8 will determine which content gets displayed on our channel; We display the newest and/or most popular content and suggest breaking longer programs into 2 to 7 minute webisodes or parts.
-Residential delivery of select "PROJECT 8" content is expected to begin 4th quarter of 2006. Both long and short form content will be delivered to set-top boxes in homes. This will be an opt-in program PROJECT 8 will have control over which content is distributed to residential viewers.
-Cellular Delivery of the "PROJECT 8" content and channel is expected to begin 1st quarter of 2007. This will be an opt-in program. We will have control over which content is distributed via cellular.
