Get this video and more at MySpace.comEna is one of the hottest undiscovered Pop/Rock Alternative artist around today. She has moved beyond all boundaries placed before her as a young Jamaican woman. Within a culture of Reggae, she discovered and nurtured her love for Pop and Rock.Ena likes almost every artist, as long as the music rocks. Artists like Jane Siberry, PJ Harvey, The Emotions, James Brown, Michael Jackson, Zap Mama, Skunk Anansie, Tricky, Delirium, Deep Forest, Missy Elliot, and the list goes on and on. Her taste encompasses all genres. Her main influence, however, is her father ("Papa") whom she first met at age 7. She was in absolute awe when she first saw him playing the acoustic guitar. She immediately fell in love with the instrument and has not put it down since. Ena taught herself to play (in the dark) and throughout the years has honed her craft. She is no stranger to the electric guitar, bass guitar, keyboards or drums and is one of the most versatile musicians today.Ena is a perfectionist when it comes to her craft and works diligently to get the sound she desires, even if it means all-nighters without food or sleep. In other words, she eats, sleeps, and dreams music. She is a crafty and talented songwriter, musician and producer. She began writing at age fourteen and has written over 100 songs (including Gospel and R&B), however, her forte is Pop/Rock. "I observed a lot, and you can hear and feel that in my music. My lyrical content is down to earth and focuses on daily living. I represent women worldwide in my songs. When I write I take on different personalities. I think all of this makes my music universal."She loves performing live and has toured internationally in Korea, Cayman Islands, Trinidad, and Guyana.Ena has also performed on her own at several venues, especially in New York City, including: *CBGBs (which was aired live on the Internet-2000) *Peppers *The Blue Angel Night Club *SOB's (she opened for the legendary Roy Ayers) *Soul Café *The Baggot Inn *CB's 313 Gallery *Downtime *The Elbow Room *Buttafly *Black Pride NYC *Opened for the gospel group Take 6, in Jamaica, WI *4th Annual California Reggae Fest, Long Beach, CA (opening act) 2002 *USA Songwriting Competition "Borders Books & Music Showcase Series", 8/2003 *5th Annual California Reggae Fest, Long Beach, CA (opening act) 8/2003 *Greater Miami Mardi Gras, FL 2/2004Ena has done background vocals for a number of artists including reggae artist, Junior Jazz. And has also played on several records for other artists. She has done music for various television and radio commercials with Don Coleman Agency for J.F. Mills.
