Enshrouded in Soul, raised with Gospel, A Poetic Mother, A Father who loved Reggae = Mr Naz-T. Born with a song in his heart, Naz exhibited immense musical creativity from a young age. Not Knowing his direction, he experimented with various musical instuments, becoming fluent in their usage before abandoning them for poetry. By age 13, his dark, self reflective poem entitled 'Black', was published by a well known urban newspaper, giving him the inspiration he needed to find himself. After writing a score of songs, he found himself with no outlet. To this end, he created an RnB group called RNL (Raymond, Naz-T, leian), The precursor to what would become Liason. As Chief songwriter to Liason, Mr Naz-T found acclaim with the likes of Trevor Nelson, Darker than Blue, Pride Magazine, Portrait, B.A.R.S, and Mariah Carey (resulting in a spectaclar live performance at her London based birthday bash). After 11 years of hard work, Liason expired. But Mr Naz-T's will to provide excellence lives on. "I have a belief in what I write. I don't want to just promote a melody, I want to tell a story. I want people to listen and be able to learn something... or at least be able to relate. I'm not really into covers, unless the person / people who remake the song truly attempt to improve upon them! I try to create new songs, new melodies, new life!" His words are echoed in his music. The classic "whatcha gonna do" is abound with verbal sound bites; "Tragedy"- which he co-wrote - exudes old school beauty. Constantly being indifferantly compared to H-town or jodeci! "She's a bitch", one of his newest pieces, was influenced by a personal life experience and a female companions T-shirt. Lyrically gifted & masterfully creative, Mr Naz-t is destined to be an incomparable songwriter. It would be wise, in my opinion, to keep an eye on this man, and if possible, aqcuire his talent!
