I think that if you have a my space there has to be a reason, not just to broadcast pictures of yourselves in bras n knickers or boys with pictures of themselves holding guns and knives trying promote Mcing careers that are never gonna take off!

MY STORY!
My name is Whitney, I am 19, and Three is my lucky number, so here are three words that describe me: focused //determined // accomplished.
I am at uni studying Public Relations and Events management at University. I would love to take a year out and go to America, but, sad as it sounds I cant leave my family and friends for that long, but then I suppose everybody has to make sacrifices at some point in their life.
At a press interview at my college Harvey Goldsmith turned and said to me “DON’T GIVE UP†to this day i am still touched by these words, I feel that he could tell that I am determined to fight for my dream and may even see the potential in me which is such a huge compliment to have came from somebody who’s is a self made success, I really admire his work and hope that one day I could walk in his shoes or even get the chance to work with him.
WHAT I DO
I have finished college ,were i was studying Broadcast and Digital Communications at The Brit School in Croydon for two years, to be honest the course was great but I HATE the college, however I have met some great people whom I wouldn’t have met if I hadn’t of went to that college.
Besides, college, heres me, little Whitney trying to break the industry and get myself out there! I’m currently working on a project with Ace (1xtra), Carly (of Wise productions, also Sincere’s manager), and FirstMan (Well known producer for beats). I can’t really disclose much about this project at this stage but hopefully I will soon be able to put my events management skills into play.
If you know me, or have read my blogs, id say I am quite open minded and ill say exactly what I think. I enjoy writing because I’m expressive and enjoy being able to broadcast my thoughts and opinions to people, whether they agree with what I’m saying or not , im open to critics. My current blog on crime amongst black youths had received praise and criticism and has in fact been put forward to compete as SKY ONES YOUNG JOURNALIST OF THE YEAR. I just hope I win because I want to be a positive role model for my piers and also people of the younger generation.
I would rather anybody who comes onto my page to read my blogs then look at my pictures!
FUTURE PLANS
Merchandising ! EXCLUSIVE is a word I associate with myself if I were to become successful I would like to carry this name into every project I work on. I love organising events, and have done only a handful so far, but hey! Im only 19. my most recent was my 18th party at MANJARO in Holloway. Every last detail was thought of and subsequently executed by myself, I think personal events like birthdays are more stressful but I defiantly would do it again. In the future I want to host under-18 club nights. I feel that there is not enough night life for under 18s, of anY race/ culture and so this is why in year 10 my friends were using their sisters ID to get into over 18s raves, I want to host successful under 18 nights all over London, and hopefully EXCLUSIVE NIGHTS will become a regular once a month event for our young ravers.
Looking a long way into the future I want to buy my own venue providing that I have successfully achieved everything I intended to in my years to come.
In the near future I want to rite for magazines and am currently looking into that prospect (so please email me or let me know if you have ant info about that).
MOST RECENT WORK EXPERIENCE I have recently worked a placement for JACKIE DAVIDSON MANAGEMENT/ HARDZONE MARKETING.The new artist about to blow for 07/08 is Tia Jean. remember i said that WWW.MYSPACE.COM/TIAJEANMUSIC. I love what i am doing right now, making contacts , going on interviews and photoshoots and exclusive industry parties. I am still trying to get mini work experience placements, record companies, PR Firms, Events industry, I would love to work within the music industry not for fame or to meet famous faces but for the creative and prosperous environment that it is!

THE RADIO SHOW
I did a summer radio slot with Keira , we interviewed Ace, From 1xtra and channel u ,kojo, Terri Walker, Sound Bwoy, Splurge, kuz, Vinal villains, and, we had a host of known people who passed through the station during our broadcast. As a follow up to that i did a Friday night slot at AXEFM.CO.UK internet radio station.
