'Take Me Away'..is a song I wrote earlia this year, which I recorded in about half hour at 3am...i av 2 point out it hasnt been mixed down properly but I think the raw recording is in keepin with the lyrical content, because it is all very personal to me and my life and relative to many others I know...
Although I gotta add I ain't one 2 give up easily...life has definitely made me that way..but yeh..this is just one of hundreds of songs i've written since young, I started writing poetry and then raps which all progressed into full lengths songs...so its rare that I'd record a song without focusing on it lyrically as well as musically.I come from a very musical family, where many of my cousins are pursuing their own musical careers...e.g. -Natacha Montille- Singer/songwriter

Dominique Laviolette-Singer/Songwriter/Pianist/Producer...but coming from a mauritian family- music was a communication channel...wen we were angry/hurtin/happy/xcited...it saved you having to xplain urself much of the time...singing prayers before meal times with my cousins...musical jam sessions when the whole fam was round the yard..and seeing as my family are scattered across the world I grew up listenin 2 a diverse mix of music genres...

I found this had an impact on the friends I attracted as a grew older..which furthered my musical knowledge and tastes, i.e. I mixed with a lot of latin americans in my early teens; (my colombian elders lol) and fell in love with the raggaeton beats and bachata melodies...Learnt how to salsa and merengue... so yeh 4rm Magic Systeme to Kaysha to MC Solaar to Don Omar to Cyprus Hill to The Killers......my preferences are on a global scale.As well as sing..I dance as well..Im a sega dancer which is Mauritius'; traditional dance, so I earn a few p now n agen from doing mauritian shows and that. I also street dance...Ive alwaze loved dancing, nothing I pursued professionally bah on a self-taught flex- I choreographed various dances that me and others performed at various shows...ratingz 2 my wifee 4 lyf Miss Shanley..dancing is our ting!I do music as part of a group calld D.CARTEL: Delaf, Jenasis n Sho r d main members along with myself...set to do big things, (with or without me!) the hustle takes time I guess when you're trying to do things rite...Jus starting out in terms of recording...worked with DVA productions and featured on a song with Trim called 'Sweet Boy', but in terms of my ability I've only got stronger since I started out bah i'm ready to start working as soon as poss...specially with Alevels soon 2 b dun..Good luck to all year 13s in the same position.! boiiiBin a loooong road n im thankful 4 d ups n downz, d hedz hu stuk aroun n even dose hu walkd out on me...u made me hu i am 2day n i'm gr8ful 4 dt.!.Wifeez stand 2 attention I salute ur bums..cah u kno seh Im a tuff cookie n itz hard holdin me down...U all kno I dont trust a lotta ppl so Im happy to say u all are part of dt few I do trust lol...Gemzy,
